Hello everyone, I hope you had a great day. Today I will show you how to cook a special dish, how to cook Nihari/Ultimate Beef Casserole. One of my favorites. This time I'll make it a little unique. It smells and looks delicious.

Beef Nihari / Ingredients and spices for boiled beef:

  1. 1 kg (2.2 lbs) cut into beef or lamb bones
  2. 1/2 cup butter
  3. 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  4. 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  5. 1 1/8 teaspoon salt
  6. 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  7. 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper powder
  9. 1 teaspoon Kashmiri chili powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  11. 2 1/2-3 tablespoons nigra masala
  12. 2 bay leaves
  13. 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  14. 6-7 glasses of water
  15. 1 black cardamom
  16. 2 bell peppers
  17. 1/4 cup fried onions
  18. 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  19. 2 tablespoons of flour (dissolved in 1/4 cup of water)
  20. Nihari Masala (Nihari Spice Mix):
  21. 2 filled anise stars
  22. 2 long bell peppers [peepli] (you can ask if you can't find it)
  23. 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  24. 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  25. 1 xq dill seeds
  26. 5 black peppers
  27. 5 whole carnations
  28. 1/2 teaspoon cardamom seeds (open the cardamom to remove the seeds)
  29. 1 teaspoon of breadcrumbs (caliber)
  30. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon stick (crushed)
  31. 2-wire mass
  32. coriander to decorate
  33. minced ginger to decorate

Steps to cook beef nihari / beef casserole

  1. Nihari Masala (mixture of spices): Mix all the spices. If the yield is more than 3 tablespoons, store the rest in an airtight container to add to the next beef curry or nigari feast.
  2. Nihari: Preheat the oven and add the meat along with the pieces. Add butter, ginger paste, garlic paste, and salt. Add all the spices and Nihari Masala.
  3. Stir until the meat is coated with all the spices, add the bay leaf, grated nutmeg and black cardamom (if using). Mix well, add water. If you want the Nihari to be thick, use 6 cups, if you want it to be thinner, use 7 cups. Cover the pressure cooker with a lid and cook over medium heat for one (1) hour.
  4. Carefully release the air and remove the lid. ALWAYS be careful when opening the lid of the machine, make sure all the air is out.
  5. Add paprika, fried onion, lemon juice and water soluble flour.
  6. Cook uncovered for another 15 minutes. Nihari meat is ready. Serve and decorate with coriander leaves and grated ginger. Enjoy the warmth of your mouth and paratha.
