Instructions for cooking Mongolian beef

  1. Wash vegetables and cut into desired size. Put aside.
  2. Slice the meat 1/4 inch thick or less and place in a bowl.
  3. Mix 1/2 tsp. l. soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp. l. cornstarch, salt, pepper and 1 egg in a meat bowl. Put aside.
  4. Heat a pan and add cold butter to prevent it from burning. Remove excess starch and cook meat until tender. Put aside.
  5. Saute minced garlic until fragrant and add green peas. Fry for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Add meat and 1/2 cup water. Boil.
  7. Add 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce and oyster sauce and stir until sauce thickens.
  8. Additional. If you want the mixture to be thicker, slowly add the cornstarch and water mixture to the desired consistency. Be careful not to add too much water depending on the amount of food being cooked.
  9. Garnish with green onions and serve.
