- 8-12 oz. water or broth
- Bun or hamburger bun
- Salt to taste (1/4 teaspoon)
Instructions for roast meat
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut the beef into cubes and chop the onion into cubes. Oil chocolate with garlic powder and pepper in a pan.
- Cut the celery (with the leaves). Place the celery, chili and tomato sauce on the grill with the beef. Mash the tomatoes with a fork. Add water and salt (or broth). I like the "sauce" a lot, so I added a little water. It is important not to dry out during cooking.
- Cover with a grill lid and cook at 350 degrees for at least 3-4 hours or until the meat is ground. Stir occasionally, chop the tomatoes and add water if necessary.
- Remove the meat cubes and let cool. Mash the tomatoes to crush them further if necessary. Once the beef cubes have cooled, cut them up and return them to the grill. Bake for another half hour to warm up.
- Serve with buns or hamburger buns to your liking. Best with fries and pasta salad... Congratulations!
- I usually use a pound of beef for half a bottle of Heinz Chili Sauce. You can modify the recipe to your liking. Sometimes cook it longer at 300 degrees to make the beef softer.
