- Fry the Moong dal in a dry pan. Stir constantly so that all of it fry golden color
- Put up 2 cups of water in a pressure cooker. Pour the fried dal into it.
- Add 1/4 tsp of turmeric, and salt as required. Boil under pressure for 5 mins.
- In a pan put 2 tbsps oil. When the oil is hot, add the thinly sliced coconut. When it is fried, add dry whole masalas.
- Fry it for 2 min, then add the ginger paste, coriander powder and cumin powder.
- Fry for a minute on slow fire, then pour the boiled dal into it. Add another cup of water if it is too thick.
- Add the raisins and boil once.
- Serve in a bowl with green chilli and luchi or rice
